Preparative technique
The fiber is prepared by melt spinning and elasticizing furan polyester chips, which are obtained by polymerization of bio-based 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid and ethylene glycol as raw materials and 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol as a copolymerization monomer.

The downstream application guidance
Weaving: It can be interwoven with cotton, nylon, and low-temperature elastane, and can be applied to knitted fabrics.
Dyeing and finishing: For the post-processing of fabrics such as setting, it is recommended that the heat treatment temperature should be≤140℃; lt is recommended that disperse dyes should be used, and the dyeing temperature should be≤110℃.

Q: What are the environmental advantages and application characteristics of low temperature easy-to-dye bio-based furan polyester fiber from the production end to the application end?
A: The raw material of the fiber comes from green bio-based materials, which can significantly reduce the consumption of petroleum resources, thus reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Its processing temperature is 10~20°℃ lower than conventional polyester fiber, which can reduce energy consumption in the production and processing process. Its low-temperature dyeability can also reduce the downstream energy consumption in the dyeing and finishing stage. Along with being antibacterial,it also has a relatively low fiber modulus, retains moisture better than regular polyester fibers, and produces a smooth, soft, and skin-friendly fabric.
