Knitted Underwear, Sportswear, and Swimwear: Polypropylene fibers are lightweight with a comfortable feel, low moisture absorption, and good water transport properties, which help maintain skin’s relative dryness. They have low thermal conductivity and good warmth retention, making them suitable for knitted underwear and sportswear. In the United States, polypropylene fine denier filaments are used to produce military cold-resistant fleece knit underwear, which has been designated as a standard military supply by the U.S. Department of Defense. Norway uses polypropylene fine denier filaments to make functional sportswear that quickly wicks away sweat to prevent frostbite and wind injury.
  2. Imitation Silk Fabrics: Polypropylene ultrafine fibers have a fineness of only 1/12th that of silk and can be dyed. They have a good luster, soft feel, and are wear-resistant with anti-pilling fabric surfaces that are easy to wash and durable. After washing, there is little change in feel, size, or appearance. Fabrics made from polypropylene ultrafine fibers, such as silk, satin, and gauze, are as beautiful as real silk but have better performance.
  3. Umbrellas and Raincoats: Umbrellas and raincoats made from polypropylene ultrafine fiber woven fabrics have a fashionable and elegant appearance.
  4. Spinning Raw Material: Polypropylene ultrafine short fibers can be spun purely or blended. In recent years, polypropylene fine denier short fibers have been successfully used in various spinning techniques, producing products that are more aesthetically pleasing than pure spun ones.
  5. Decorative Fabrics: Polypropylene fibers are resistant to contamination, easy to wash, and wear-resistant, making them ideal for furniture decorative fabrics such as bed sheets, mattress covers, curtains, and drapes.
  6. Nonwoven Fabrics: Polypropylene ultrafine filaments can be made into nonwoven fabrics using spunbonding and melt-blowing methods, while short fibers are made using air-laying and thermal pressing techniques. They are widely used in sanitary pads, medical surgical clothing, high-grade packaging materials, and diaper fabrics.
