The combination of recycling and bio-based material is low-carbon
and environmentally friendly, fitting seamlessly into sustainable
development. The innovative “8”-shaped double-hollow component
composite imparts lightweight, thermal-retention, comfort, and
elasticity properties, etc., to the fabric, ensuring excellent conformality
of the product.
Preparative technique
With rPET and bio-based PTT as raw materials, the optimal rPET/PTT compound system has been optimized. Asymmetric and multi-dimensional deformed side-by-side composite spinneret assemblies are adopted to produce the fiber through melt composite spinning process.
Weaving: Can be interwoven with other fibers to produce both knitted and woven fabrics.
Dyeing and finishing: Use dispersive dyes. The gray fabric needs to be pre-shrunk and pre-set before dyeing. The recommended dyeing temperature is 125℃.
Q: Why does the 8-shaped hollow structure design have more advantages compared to single-hole hollow fiber and conventional two-component elastic fiber?
A:Compared to single-hole hollow fiber, the 8-shaped hollow structure design exhibits superior performance in terms of thermal insulation and rebound resilience. The double-hollow structure distributes the supporting force evenly, enhancing the cohesive force and thermal-retention properties of the fiber, and increasing the bending modulus of the fiber effectively. While compared to conventional two-component elastic fiber, the fiber with an 8-shaped hollow
structure possesses more prominent three-dimensional effects and fluffiness.Furthermore, this fiber integrates bio-based materials with recycled materials, achieving a perfect combination of greenness, low-carbon, and environmental protection, and fitting into sustainable development.
